This is a hands-on technical leadership role: you will guide a small team of about five engineers, stay deeply involved in coding, architecture, and design, and mentor the team while delivering high-quality software. You will work with partner teams to align on dependencies and help shape the long-term Lakebase roadmap. The team you will lead includes Lakebase Platform Reliability, Lakebase Proxy, and Lakebase Storage. Key responsibilities include hands-on design and coding on the hardest parts of projects; architecture reviews; establishing observability, testing, and SLAs; growing engineers through feedback and career development; and collaborating with engineering and product leadership to shape the roadmap.
