Backbase is redefining how people manage their finances. We are seeking a Senior AI Applied Software Engineer to join our R&D team in Krakow. You will contribute to the core Entitlements component, addressing access control, approvals and limits, and you will help design systems that serve millions of users across more than 100 financial institutions worldwide. In this role you will be a technical cornerstone of your squad, delivering complex features with minimal guidance and ensuring the frontend and backend work together to be performant, secure and scalable. You will own the full SDLC from initial idea and architectural design to release and maintenance. You will improve system architecture and design components that integrate across APIs and microservices. You will act as a go to resource for your team, mentoring junior engineers, conducting critical code reviews, and raising the bar for engineering standards. You will contribute to AI and innovation by advancing LLM based voice assistants and real time personalization using OpenAI and ML models. You will implement Entitlements and fraud prevention services with a focus on security, scalability and resilience. You will work in a pod based model with Architects, Product Owners and UX Designers to align technical solutions with business needs.
