About the role

Suitsupply recently launched a global headless storefront on Shopify Hydrogen. Built in TypeScript and serving 26+ countries with multiple languages, the platform sits in a monorepo shared with other customer-facing applications. The Tech Lead Shopify will own the technical vision for this storefront, define the architecture across markets, languages, and devices, and set the standards the team follows. This is a hands-on leadership role: you will be deep in the code while making architectural decisions that shape the platform for years to come. You will lead a team of frontend engineers and work closely with a product manager and designer.

The Tech Lead Shopify will own the technical vision for this storefront, define the architecture across markets, languages, and devices, and set the standards the team follows. What you will do: - Define and own the storefront architecture across markets, languages, and devices - Lead frontend engineers through architectural decisions, code reviews, pairing, and hands-on guidance - Make technology choices, patterns, and trade-offs, and communicate the reasoning to the team and stakeholders - Balance delivery velocity with technical health; proactively manage technical debt - Own the integration strategy across Shopify APIs and UI Extensions, Sanity CMS, and third-party systems for payments and logistics - Define the testing strategy with QA engineers, covering unit, integration, and end-to-end tests - Set and raise the bar for performance, accessibility, security, and reliability - Drive the frontend chapter, establishing shared standards for development practices, monitoring, and ways of working
