Overview: AECOM is seeking a skilled Civil Infrastructure Project Manager / Design Manager for Rail to lead the design team within a consultancy environment in Madrid. The role focuses on the design and management of civil infrastructure projects in rail, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and delivering high-quality infrastructure solutions.

Responsibilities

Qualifications: Location and arrangement: Madrid, Spain. This is a hybrid (mixed remote and in-office) opportunity with collaboration across regional teams.

Lead the design process for rail infrastructure projects from planning to execution and closure.
Manage and inspire multidisciplinary design teams; coordinate with various offices for multicenter projects.
Oversee design stages from concept to final delivery; monitor progress, conduct design reviews, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
Maintain high design quality in line with AECOM’s standards, regulations, and client specifications.
Manage design budgets and resources to maximize efficiency and project success.
Maintain comprehensive project documentation and prepare regular reports for stakeholders.
Adhere to AECOM Project Delivery Procedures and standards.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
10+ years of experience, with USA and Canada experience considered an advantage.
Extensive experience as a PM/DM on civil infrastructure projects focusing on rails.
Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
PMP certification is advantageous.
