The Community Manager will oversee an on-site Chicago, Illinois community, ensuring resident satisfaction and staff engagement while aligning with the company’s goals and the community owners. This role requires building a sense of community, delivering exceptional resident service, and fostering collaborative relationships with vendors and service providers. Key responsibilities include resident relations and customer service across the resident life cycle from move-in to move-out; implementing services and promptly addressing complaints; advocating for residents by communicating concerns to senior leadership; coordinating on-site events and resident retention programs; maintaining confidential resident records; and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Fiduciary duties include monitoring the community budget, rent rolls, occupancy goals, and pursuing revenue growth; preparing monthly financials; assisting with the annual operating budget; processing subsidy vouchers when applicable; and overseeing large capital projects and cross-department communication. Staff leadership involves managing on-site operations, budgets, vendor relationships, maintenance coordination, and payroll/accounts payable; coaching and evaluating team performance; promoting a productive and inclusive work environment; and ensuring clear scheduling and high curb appeal.
