DOPE Marketing is seeking a Staff Accountant/Bookkeeper to manage daily accounting operations for our multi-storefront ecommerce business, working alongside the Financial Controller. Responsibilities include maintaining the books for daily sales, purchases, receipts, and payments; handling accounts payable and accounts receivable; reconciling bank and credit card statements and resolving discrepancies; reconciling revenue across Stripe and Shopify to source data; assisting with rolling out a standardized, margin-based revenue system in HubSpot; auditing Amex statements and subscription billing; owning the direct mail (EDDM/postcard) credit risk tracker; and supporting month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closes and audits. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; 1–3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience; real, hands-on QuickBooks experience; working knowledge of Shopify and Stripe (HubSpot experience a big plus); advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, building reports from scratch); solid understanding of GAAP and accrual vs cash accounting; ability to handle confidential pricing, margin, and vendor data with discretion.
