Eaton’s IS AER FMC division is seeking an Assembler Tester B for the second shift at the Los Angeles, California facility. The facility designs and manufactures valves, regulators, and other fluid controls used primarily by the aerospace industry. The hourly rate is $27.03 plus a $2.00 per hour shift differential. Responsibilities include assembling, teardown, and testing routine mechanical assemblies and subassemblies from simple to moderate complexity; ensuring proper tooling and documentation; organizing data and preparing test reports; performing lockwire and safety wire operations and applying nameplates; cross-training as needed; and maintaining a clean and safe work area. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, two years of assembly experience in manufacturing, aerospace, or military environments, and two years of testing mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or electromechanical assemblies. Applicants must reside within 50 miles of the Los Angeles facility or have no relocation benefit. U.S. person status is required due to export-controlled information. Preferred qualifications include experience with hydraulic and electromechanical actuators, ESD certification, an associate degree, soldering experience, an A&P license, and FAA environment experience. The ability to read assembly blueprints and wiring diagrams, operate shop test equipment, use inspection gauges, multimeters, torque wrenches, and other production test equipment, and lift up to 50 lbs is required.
