About the role

Iridium is seeking a Principal Data & Analytics Engineer to serve as the technical leader for our modern data platform. You will bridge data engineering and analytics engineering to transform raw enterprise data into scalable, trusted data products, establish technical standards, build robust data pipelines, architect data warehouse layers, and create clean, well-documented data/semantic models. You will mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across projects.

What you’ll do: - Design, build, and optimize end-to-end ELT/ETL pipelines to ingest structured and unstructured data from diverse sources. - Transform raw data into business-ready dimensional models, star schemas, data marts, and semantic models to enable self-service BI and AI. - Develop automated scheduling, monitoring, and orchestration to ensure data freshness and pipeline reliability. - Partner with data owners and governance stakeholders to establish data governance policies and ensure data quality, privacy, and security. - Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into technical specifications and implement data solutions. - Communicate platform architecture to technical and non-technical audiences. - Contribute to training on data & analytic platform capabilities. - Exercise technical authority and mentor junior data engineers.

What you’ll need: - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, or related field. - 10+ years leading complex technical projects in DataOps and data engineering. - Expertise in data modeling and relational databases with advanced SQL. - Experience w
