This on-site role will shape company-wide security strategy and manage a highly autonomous group of software engineers focused on reducing security risk across Engineering. You will design and build user-friendly identity and access management (IAM) systems for humans and machines, secure the software supply chain from development through CI/CD to production, and develop secure baselines for cloud infrastructure. The team will also manage infrastructure vulnerabilities while supporting a fast-moving engineering organization and provide risk assessments, architectural designs, threat models, code reviews, and pragmatic security guidance. What we look for: 3+ years of experience as a people manager leading 3+ security software engineers; passion for diversity and inclusion and coaching engineers; experience securing systems with millions of users; expertise in cloud environments (GCP, Cloudflare, AWS); proficiency in Python, TypeScript, and Rust; experience developing with agentic AI and knowledge of AI security practices. Bonus points for: knowledge of modern authentication/authorization concepts (RBAC, OAuth, Zero Trust, mTLS); familiarity with CI/CD technologies (Terraform, Bazel, Buildkite, Spacelift); experience defining and orchestrating containers (Kubernetes, Docker) and serverless workloads (e.g., Cloudflare Workers); experience with running security platforms such as Wiz.
