The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for achieving sales and profit objectives for the assigned territory/industry, working closely with the Sales Manager to establish targets and maximize growth. Responsibilities include generating and developing new business to meet production goals, maintaining and nurturing existing client relationships, responding to inquiries promptly, preparing and presenting sales proposals, planning and managing the sales territory, and communicating information about products, services, policies, and procedures to clients. The role collaborates with branch inside sales and management to ensure alignment, maintains thorough knowledge of industry products, and gathers market intelligence on local competition and business climate for reporting to management. Additional duties include negotiating contracts and work agreements, ensuring client paperwork is complete and accurate, and providing timely reports. Attendance at business/trade events and team sales meetings is expected, with other duties as assigned.
