Tapestry, Alphabet’s moonshot for the electric grid, is seeking an Engineering Manager in Mountain View, California to lead a world-class team of engineers responsible for scalable, resilient cloud-based systems powering global grid deployments. You will own the technical strategy and infrastructure that underpins our global deployments across the United States and partner countries, including Chile and Australia, and you will mentor engineers to translate product vision into reliable software. You will collaborate with Product, UX, Data Science, Machine Learning, and Power Systems experts to align requirements with robust architecture, and you should be comfortable providing hands-on technical guidance to unblock critical bottlenecks. Qualifications include a Bachelor's in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, 3+ years of technical leadership with at least 2 years of people management, 8+ years building scalable cloud-based production systems (GCP preferred), and strong experience with data processing, backend services, and frontend design for enterprise applications.
