The engineer will take ownership of difficult problems, drive solutions, and provide technical leadership within a team. The position requires a solid understanding of the software development lifecycle and expertise in automated testing to support large data sets. Responsibilities include participating in the full lifecycle of software development—from requirements gathering and design to development, testing, integration, and maintenance—along with coordinating with program management, external suppliers, and government customers. Proficiency in C/C++, C#, or other OOP languages in Windows and/or Linux environments is required. Familiarity with MFC or other UI APIs is a plus. Essential: design, implement, and unit test software; lead a software team; collect and report metrics; support software working groups with the customer; ensure software best practices; develop software products through all phases of the lifecycle.
