Orion is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for heavy civil/marine construction in the Puget Sound area, based in Federal Way, Washington. This on-site position provides project engineering support, including developing bid packages for subcontractors, estimating project costs, procuring materials and services, interpreting project plans and specifications, and scheduling work activities. The role involves coordination with the Project Management Team and on-site personnel such as Superintendents and Foremen to ensure successful project completion and closeout, while maintaining safety and environmental compliance. Responsibilities include developing bid proposals for marine construction projects, negotiating contracts and change orders, managing cost control, and ensuring timely procurement. The incumbent must be able to travel to job sites as required. Qualifications include a BS degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management and eight years of experience, with prior marine construction experience preferred.
