Tarkett North American Accounting Shared Services is seeking a Staff Accountant to support daily accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and maintain internal controls in accordance with GAAP. The role contributes to the monthly close process, prepares journal entries, and performs account reconciliations, analyses, and reporting.

Key responsibilities: - Assist with month-end close, including consolidation and maintenance of closing files, preparation of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and support schedules. - Execute intercompany billing and ensure timely, accurate transactions. - Perform intercompany AP/AR balance reconciliations to support financial reporting accuracy. - Monitor SAP for intercompany processing errors and coordinate resolution. - Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger. - Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts. - Review credit card transactions for proper coding and compliance with internal controls. - Analyze financial data, investigate variances, and support financial statements. - Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures. - Collaborate with AP, AR, FP&A, and IT teams. - Assist with audits by providing required documentation and support. - Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation. - Prepare ad hoc reports and financial analyses as needed. - Perform additional duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager.
