Checkr is seeking an Engineering Manager for the Verifications team. This role leads a growing engineering group responsible for the employment and education verifications portfolio, drug and occupational health screenings, references checks, and right-to-work compliance products. You will scale data quality and automation, improve reliability across a complex set of fulfillment integrations, and partner with Product and Compliance to drive a multi-product roadmap.

What you’ll do: - Lead and grow the Verifications engineering team, setting technical direction and career development. - Own the reliability and quality of a broad portfolio of fulfillment integrations, working with vendors and internal stakeholders to reduce friction and minimize impact when issues arise. - Collaborate with Product to define and execute roadmaps across employment, education, drug/health, and compliance products. - Drive architecture decisions to scale a complex integration-heavy system and move toward automation. - Lead adoption of AI-assisted development practices while maintaining quality and regulatory standards. - Represent Verifications in cross-functional planning with Product, Compliance, and Engineering leadership.
