GovCIO is hiring a Scrum Master to provide Scrum/Agile leadership and support for the Department of Veterans Affairs Data Modernization initiative. This role leads, coordinates, and oversees key modernization activities and is fully remote within the United States.

Responsibilities

Qualifications:

Execute and manage the implementation and deployment of Agile solutions within a technical team.
Facilitate Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint retrospectives, backlog refinement, and more.
Work with the Sr. Project Manager to prepare for Sprint Reviews.
Mentor and coach the team in Agile techniques and processes, including Scrum and Kanban.
Coach the team in Agile and DevOps practices aligned to project objectives.
Collaborate with development teams through large-scale enterprise transformation efforts.
Prepare coaching materials, host knowledge sessions, and lead retrospectives to promote continuous learning and improvement.
Ensure Jira is up to date and that the team remains self-organized in its usage.
Track progress and improvements, aligning activities with program goals, delivery timelines, and stakeholder expectations.
Maintain the Program Scrum Guide as applicable.
Communicate status, next steps, delivery timelines, and action items to stakeholders.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field (or equivalent experience).
12+ years of experience in business analysis, project management, or a related role.
Certifications such as CSM, CSPO, CAPM, etc.
Experience leading 1+ Scrum Teams and facilitating Scrum cere
