This on-site Technical Writer I position is based in North Las Vegas, Nevada, United States. The role plans, designs, writes, edits, and proofs documents such as correspondence, contract deliverables, manuals, proposals, and policies in support of the contract. Responsibilities include monitoring the in-house production flow of documents from inception to distribution, identifying and correcting problem areas, and collaborating with engineers and technical professionals in the writing, editing, controlling, and publication of customer documents including manuals, work instructions, checklists, test plans, test reports, and statements of work. Edit documents with guidance on graphics, quality, coverage, format, and style to ensure proper grammar, punctuation, spelling, consistency, and compliance with standards. Use Microsoft Office and other software for document production; seek improved methods to produce documentation electronically. Maintain a digital tracking system for JT4 and vendor documents, provide quality assurance checks, and ensure adherence to military, contract, and local standards. Read and interpret engineering documentation; manage multiple documents with changing priorities; complete additional projects as assigned by the DM Supervisor.
