About the role

AutoSavvy is seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Accountant to oversee the accounting, controls, and financial reporting for inventory. This full-time position, based in Woods Cross, Utah, will maintain accurate inventory records, perform general ledger reconciliations, support inventory audits, analyze short-term inventory financing, and prepare cash projections related to inventory purchases and sold inventory. The ideal candidate will have a solid accounting foundation, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work with large volumes of inventory and financial data.

Responsibilities include: maintaining accounting controls over inventory activity and balances; reconciling inventory-related general ledger accounts; developing and maintaining inventory audit procedures and internal controls; monitoring inventory transactions to ensure accuracy and timeliness; analyzing short-term inventory financing balances, utilization, interest expense, and availability; preparing cash-flow projections; identifying aging inventory and financial risks; partnering with operations, purchasing, sales, treasury, and accounting teams to resolve issues; assisting with month-end close, financial reporting, audits, and management reporting; developing reports to improve visibility into inventory performance and cash requirements; and recommending improvements to inventory accounting processes, controls, and reporting.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; two or more years of accounting, inventory, audit, financial analysis, or related experience preferred;
