GE HealthCare is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Maternal Infant Care team. You will design, develop, and test embedded software for next‑generation medical devices used in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and Labor & Delivery environments. The role focuses on data acquisition from sensors, real‑time processing, and cross‑functional collaboration to deliver safe, reliable, and connected medical devices. You will own software modules, work with Electrical and Systems Engineers, and translate system architecture and product requirements into robust components. You will operate in an agile/scrum environment, conduct design reviews, and ensure security, reliability, and performance. You will contribute to software integration, quality practices, and compliance with medical device standards (IEC/ISO 62304). You will research AI tools and methodologies to advance our software, understand the entire product, and maintain deep knowledge of your assigned component. Responsibilities include developing embedded software for NICU and Labor & Delivery devices, implementing solutions aligned with shared platforms, and validating hardware and software with external sensors and peripherals (I2C, SPI, UART, USB, CAN).
