Antares is developing deployable microreactors for terrestrial, underwater, and space environments. Based in Los Angeles, California, we are assembling a team with backgrounds from SpaceX, MIT, The White House, and national labs to accelerate safe, scalable nuclear energy. As a Test Engineer I–II in our Test Engineering group, you will design, build, and own test infrastructure for our R1 microreactor. You will develop end-to-end test plans—from concept to data analysis—for components and subsystems spanning heat rejection, power distribution, thermal management, and mechanical systems. You will establish testing best practices, requirements, and workflows to enable rapid iteration and high-quality data, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure prototype, development, and qualification hardware aligns with a test plan that validates critical features and performance. You will design, validate, and maintain test setups to ensure precision and accuracy. Responsibilities include: Architect and deploy bespoke test stands for heat pipe components; Develop test plans and protocols covering instrumentation, execution steps, pass/fail criteria, and data analysis workflows; Create test schedules aligned with development and business needs; Lead test design reviews and communicate results with stakeholders; Validate measurement precision; procure or design fixtures and sensors; Create schematics and CAD models of test setups; Define standard processes for prototype, qualification, and production testing; Provide subject-matter expertise and mentor teammates; Participate
