Data Scientist (Junior) – On-site at Halawa, Hawaii, United States and Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland, United States. CACI is seeking a Data Scientist to support a program focused on developing models, simulations, and analytics to aid Warfighter readiness and defense capabilities. The successful candidate will apply established data science methodologies to Live, Virtual, Constructive (LVC) environments and related modeling and simulation efforts, including enhancing AI/ML models for mission sets such as predictive maintenance for fleet readiness.

Responsibilities

Qualifications:

Apply data science methods to mission requirements and data-driven solutions for M&S and AI systems.
Fine-tune AI/ML models to improve accuracy for specific mission sets, including predictive maintenance.
Develop analytical pipelines and tooling to meet emerging data requirements.
Support verification, validation, and accreditation (VV&A) of simulation models.
Collaborate with systems engineers, modeling and simulation developers, and operations research analysts in a cross-functional team.
Perform data engineering on simulation data, including cleaning, preparation, integration, and feature extraction.
Support advanced data analytics initiatives, including generative AI workflows within a DOW context.
Work with structured and unstructured datasets to extract actionable insights.
Required: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related field, or 3 years of relevant experience. Active TS/SCI clearance.
