About the role

Wharton-Smith, Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Manager with water and wastewater construction expertise for projects in Brevard County and Indian River County, Florida. The Project Manager will be responsible for the overall performance of the project(s) from estimating and pre-construction through successful completion, including safety, owner satisfaction, cost, schedule, and quality control.

Responsibilities

Build strong relationships with clients/owners, architects, and engineers to ensure repeat business.
Maintain a positive image of the company with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and project team.
Partner with Preconstruction Services on value engineering, constructability reviews, bidding, estimating assistance, and proposal generation.
Set up and maintain project cost accounting and develop the project schedule.
Support permitting, testing, and inspection requirements.
Understand owner contract requirements and delivery methods.
Negotiate subcontractor agreements and purchase orders for equipment/materials.
Develop a Schedule of Values and generate monthly payment applications; review subcontractor pay applications and vendor invoices.
Track subcontractor change management and procurement; monitor submittals and shop drawings for timely delivery.
Facilitate subcontractor and owner coordination meetings and document meeting minutes.
Manage contracts, bonds, insurance certificates, contract compliance, and warranties.
Monitor budgets, schedules, cost reports, and job progress; review with the project team on a regular basis.
