Sia is seeking a Consultant Data Engineer to work on client projects and to help build Sia AI solutions in collaboration with our French Data Engineering team. The role involves designing cloud-based architectures across GCP, AWS and Azure, deploying and operating data pipelines, and containerizing applications with Docker and Kubernetes. You will contribute to Python-based tooling, REST APIs, and data processing pipelines, manage CI/CD workflows, and implement data infrastructure for machine learning workloads. Responsibilities include ETL development in Big Data environments, infrastructure as code (Terraform), security considerations (certificate management, HTTPS, OAuth2, credential management), and maintaining code quality across the lifecycle from development to deployment. Ideal candidates hold a Master’s degree with a strong quantitative component and 1–3 years of experience in Data, DevOps, Cloud, or Software Engineering, with proficiency in Python, SQL (PostgreSQL preferred), and ideally NoSQL (MongoDB). Familiarity with cloud platforms (GCP/AWS/Azure) and a willingness to learn more is expected. You should be comfortable in a DevOps culture and have a drive to grow expertise in data and AI topics, with strong communication and collaboration skills in English and Dutch.
