You will build and maintain products and services that enable engineers to understand how their services are behaving in real time, diagnose issues reliably, and streamline data discovery through a common observability ecosystem. The platform processes billions of events per day across logs, metrics, and traces.
What you will do: - Solve scaling bottlenecks in the Logging, Metrics, Traces & Alerting pipelines - Design APIs used by product teams; collaborate to identify pain points and opportunities - Identify bottlenecks and single points of failure to improve reliability and user experience - Drive feature ideation, implementation, and adoption - Collaborate on planning and refinement, maintain engineering alignment, quality, and reduce complexity - Respond to alerts and provide on-call support for production issues
What you bring: - 5+ years of experience with distributed systems - Expertise designing APIs and data pipelines for high-throughput, real-time data ingestion - Experience improving software reliability across availability, performance, latency, efficiency, capacity, SLOs, and incident management - Proficiency in Go and/or Java - Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform) - Solid understanding of system design tradeoffs - Track record of leading and delivering end-to-end projects and features - Motivated to learn and continuously develop
Nice to have: - Observability Stack expertise: Elasticsearch
