About the role

HunaTek is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Financial Analyst to support the Bureau of African Affairs (AF) on our contract with the Department of State. The Financial Analyst will be responsible for managing bilateral agreements, public sector finance, budgeting, and funds tracking. The ideal candidate will administer government and interagency agreements, analyze financial data, and assist with budget projections related to foreign assistance in sub-Saharan Africa. Responsibilities

Support AF/A and Africa Regional Hubs in managing bilateral agreements, such as DOAGs.
Manage public sector finance and budgeting, track funds, assist with budget projections, and administer government/interagency agreements and documentation.
Enter verified data; review and analyze financial documents; track funding and expenditures using Department of State and legacy USAID financial systems and Microsoft Excel.
Prepare technical reports and oral briefings on financial and budget-related topics related to foreign assistance in sub-Saharan Africa.
Support AF/A/PMC, regional hubs, and U.S. embassy-based staff in preparing and administering program financial milestones throughout the grant and contract lifecycle (pre-award, award, post-award, and closeout).
Support AF/A/PMC in program oversight related to cost projections, invoices, and current and out-year funding needs, including financial aud
