Doctolib Connect is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Amsterdam team. As a Backend Engineer, you will build secure medical communication solutions that enable healthcare professionals to discuss and coordinate patient care with colleagues across organizations. You will work on APIs and backend services powering Europe’s largest medical network used by over 1 million healthcare professionals, using Java 17, Spring Boot, Akka, and more.

Build, own, and maintain the backend, providing APIs for mobile and web clients.
Manage and monitor cloud infrastructure on AWS with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform).
Keep security and privacy at the forefront of every decision.
Collaborate with Android, iOS, web, and Rails teams to deliver a seamless experience for healthcare professionals.
Oversee the full development lifecycle, including stakeholder communication and production issue debugging.
Fully cloud-native platform serving web and mobile interfaces.
Stack includes Rails, TypeScript, Java, Python, Kotlin, Swift, and React Native.
We leverage AI responsibly to empower patients and health professionals.
5+ years of API design and development with Java 8+ (our stack currently uses Java 17).
Experience running software on AWS.
Experience with Spring Boot, Akka, Protobuf.
Experience with databases such as JPA, MySQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch.
Fluency in English.
