Based in Paris, France, this on-site Senior AI Engineer role sits in OECD's AI Lab within EXD/DKI/CAIO. You will help design and industrialise AI capabilities to support OECD's analytical and policy work. Responsibilities include designing and implementing an Internal AI Engineering Framework, including reference architectures for AI and agent-based systems, reusable components, templates, and standard orchestration patterns; producing documentation and best practices; evaluating tools and frameworks; and building AI solutions such as prototyping, RAG pipelines, agents, and enterprise data integrations. You will industrialise PoCs into production-ready tools, ensuring performance, security, compliance, maintainability and financial sustainability. You will contribute to deployment, packaging, release processes, and handover to operational teams, and develop reusable assets for future work. You will stay abreast of emerging trends and contribute to continuous improvement and division-level excellence. Qualifications include an advanced degree in AI/DS/CS/economics/public policy or equivalent experience, hands-on engineering mindset, ability to work autonomously, problem-solving skills, and experience in international or multilateral environments; skills in Generative AI (LLMs, embeddings, RAG, prompt engineering), agent-based systems, API development, Python, vector databases, CI/CD, security and governance; fluency in English (and knowledge of French) is expected.
