Gilbane is seeking a Project Manager II to serve as the on-site manager responsible for the overall direction, completion, and financial outcome of a medium-sized construction project. The position will be on the job site every day and requires the ability to lead the project team, manage risks, and ensure safety, quality, and timely delivery. Responsibilities include contributing to the development of the project safety plan, establishing project controls and procedures, managing change management and the project financial forecast, creating and managing a project specific quality plan, developing a closeout plan, motivating the project team, and supervising engineers and superintendents. The PM II will train direct reports, contribute to subcontracting strategy, enforce contract terms, coordinate with trade contractors, support enrollment in insurance and bonds, assist with estimates for bid packages and GMP preparation, perform constructability and coordination reviews, develop CPM schedules, and collaborate with business development on client relationships and performance metrics. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management and 5–10 years of experience. Knowledge of industry standard software and strong communication skills are required. The position is based in Arlington, VA, United States and is an on-site role with Gilbane, a respected construction management firm.
