GDIT is seeking a Remote Technical Writer to support the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Federal Services System Support and Oversight (FSSSO) program. Responsibilities include researching, drafting, editing, tracking, and reporting design documents for public-facing website content and training materials; ensuring documents meet customer specifications for quality, plain language, active voice, formatting, and style; preparing, editing, and standardizing storyboards for training videos; editing screenshots and other graphics for design documents and training content; reviewing stakeholder feedback; preparing and editing contract deliverables such as meeting minutes, internal job aids, and standard operating procedures; building content expertise while applying strong proofreading and layout skills to produce polished client deliverables; consolidating content from multiple sources into a single coherent document while adhering to GDIT policies; proactively evaluating the needs of the workstream and delivering solutions to improve program performance and client satisfaction; and performing other duties as assigned. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Digital Media and 5+ years of hands-on experience editing technical documents; 6+ years of experience as a graphic artist/digital media professional with multimedia editing experience; 2+ years of experience as an Instructional Designer; proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience developing Section 508-compliant interactive CBT courses for adult learning using Articulate 3
