Most systems extract plain text from PDF or DOCX: job titles, employers, dates, skills, and education. Fancy columns, icons, and text inside images are often dropped or scrambled.
Use standard headings (Experience, Skills, Education). One column layout exports cleanly from Google Docs, Word, or Notion.
List technologies you have used in production—not every buzzword from the posting. Repeat the target job title once in your summary or headline if it matches your level.
JobMatcher already maps semantic fit; ATS at employers may still keyword-match. Align phrasing with the vacancy where it is truthful.
Open Profile → ATS score for a machine-readability hint on your current upload. Re-export LinkedIn or your master CV when you change target role.
After edits, refresh your feed—match scores update when the parsed profile changes.
