Waste Technical Support Officer Based in Engine Common, England, United Kingdom, this role supports the safe, efficient and environmentally responsible operation of in-house recycling and waste disposal services. It combines site-based activity, data analysis, auditing, compliance monitoring and administrative duties to improve safety, environmental performance, quality standards and operational policy. What you'll do - Work with the waste lead, site teams, contractors, regulators and partners to enhance safety, health, environment and quality and drive continuous improvement. - Promote safe working practices and review compliance standards; carry out site inspections, audits and reviews across waste facilities; identify opportunities to improve performance and reduce risk. - Develop health and safety reporting systems and monitor key performance indicators and performance measures; assist with compliance for Environment Agency permits, trade effluent consents and other environmental obligations. - Contribute to carbon, environmental and sustainability reporting; use data and performance information to identify trends, highlight risks and support informed decision-making. - Seek smarter, innovative ways of working through better use of data, systems and technology; take ownership of opportunities to implement practical improvements.
