Overview: Acuity Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Test Engineer to join our hardware, firmware, and software validation team. You will develop and document test plans to validate hardware, firmware, and software designs, create test environments, execute plans, and document results. Responsibilities include electrical validation testing, feature evaluation, system integration testing, interoperability testing, and the creation and maintenance of test automation scripts. You will collaborate with design engineers, architects, and product managers to define test requirements, reproduce and debug complex field issues, and support root-cause analyses. Additional duties include keeping lab equipment calibrated, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, building prototype hardware, performing product teardown analyses, and ensuring proper calibration status of equipment. Qualifications: Associate degree or technical degree (or equivalent) with at least 5 years of hardware validation experience. Hands-on experience with AC-DC and DC-DC switching power supplies; knowledge of dimmers, relays, sensors, and lighting components; experience with analog and digital (mixed-signal) system testing and troubleshooting; experience building prototypes with SMT and through-hole components. Ability to manage multiple test plans concurrently. Physical presence at the job site (on-site). Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
