Overview: InPost is looking for a Staff Software Engineer in Test to raise the quality bar across our mobile app and backend domain—not by writing more tests, but by transforming how the domain thinks about quality. This is a hands-on technical leadership role at the intersection of QA and mobile development, driving a native-first testing strategy and a culture where developers own quality. Responsibilities: - Design and own the test strategy for native iOS (Swift/SwiftUI) and Android (Kotlin) apps, manage device/OS-version fragmentation coverage, and drive flakiness control at scale using BrowserStack and GitLab CI. - Strengthen the backend/API/contract layer connections to the mobile client layer; own quality gates inside release and deployment pipelines; drive cross-team quality issue resolution. - Coach and lead: pair on testability, shift quality ownership left, mentor Senior Engineers in Test, and co-lead the OneTech/QA community; define quality metrics and communicate risk to EMs, SEMs, and PMs. - AI Governance in testing: define AI adoption for quality engineering, design AI-assisted testing workflows, govern data security, assess AI risks, and mentor engineers on responsible AI use and ROI reporting. Qualifications: Must-have - Strong experience automating mobile app tests natively (iOS or Android) with Swift and/or Kotlin. - Track record designing test strategy and the test pyramid; shift-left experience; leading technical/process change; experience introducing mock-based testing; cross-team impact; hands-on AI relationship; fluent English.
