Overview Otter.ai is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join the Frontend Team. The successful candidate will lead feature development, drive performance improvements, and guide the user experience across the web application.

Your Impact - Design and shape our web app into a mobile-first, responsive single-page application - Write clean, maintainable, reusable HTML, CSS, TypeScript, and JavaScript - Discover and fix bugs; test for security and performance; ensure cross-browser compatibility - Research solutions and participate in setting coding standards; lead code reviews - Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver high-quality software

What we're looking for - 8+ years of experience building and architecting single-page apps with a JavaScript framework - Strong experience delivering mobile-first websites - Expert-level HTML/CSS, TypeScript, and JavaScript - Good familiarity with HTTP; deep experience with unit, integration, and UI testing - Proven ability to debug efficiently and produce testable, reusable code - Stay current with development tools and platforms - WebSockets experience is a plus - Linux familiarity; AWS experience preferred - Bachelor's in computer science or related field; Master's degree a plus
