We are seeking an SRE Manager for Vehicle Software to build and lead the Vehicle Software SRE team, establishing its charter, structure, hiring plan, operating model, and technical strategy. You will interview, onboard and coach engineers, set clear expectations, and support performance and career growth. You will collaborate with engineering managers and technical leads to review reliability risks, define ownership, and prioritize work. You will stay hands-on, writing production-grade code and reviewing critical changes. You will lead technical investigations and incident reviews, turning findings into concrete fixes and follow-up work. You will coordinate with Vehicle Software teams to improve reliability while owning the systems. You will define service-level indicators and objectives, error budgets, and production-readiness standards to measure health and release readiness. You will build observability, diagnostic tools, and health signals to help engineers understand failures across onboard compute, sensors, networking and vehicle data. You will enable safer deployments through automated validation, release gates, smoke tests, rollback mechanisms and resilience testing. You will design incident-response workflows, runbooks, escalation paths and sustainable on-call practices.
