This position is based in the Seattle area (hybrid) and involves designing and implementing data processing pipelines, building large-scale data platforms, and solving complex distributed data issues in healthcare. Responsibilities include building large-scale distributed systems and ETL solutions, contributing to all stages of the Software Development Lifecycle (design, implementation, testing, deployment, operations, performance), and collaborating with cross-functional teams including product managers, clinical informaticists, architects, and other engineers. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (advanced degree a plus) and 3+ years of professional software engineering experience, including designing, building, and operating distributed systems at scale; writing production-quality, efficient, multi-threaded code that runs in cloud environments; reviewing data specifications and handling large-scale data storage and distribution; debugging complex issues in distributed systems; and experience with cloud-native architectures and DevOps practices (preferably Azure; AWS/GCP experience relevant).
