Speechify is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Data Infrastructure & Acquisition team. The role covers all aspects of data collection to support model training, enabling high-quality datasets at petabyte scale through a tight integration of infrastructure, engineering, and research. You will own tasks such as identifying new audio data sources, building and maintaining ingestion pipelines, and extending cloud infrastructure in GCP using Terraform. You will collaborate with scientists to optimize cost, throughput, and data quality and contribute to the AI Team’s data roadmap to power Speechify’s next-generation consumer and enterprise products. The ideal candidate has a BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or a related field, 5+ years of industry software development experience, proficiency with bash and Python in Linux environments,Docker and Infrastructure-as-Code experience, and professional experience with at least one major Cloud Provider (Speechify currently uses GCP). Experience with web crawlers and large-scale data processing is a plus, as are strong communication and multi-tasking abilities.
