Speechify is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Core Experiences team. This role builds and maintains foundational services and SDKs that power Speechify’s product experience across platforms. You will collaborate with Product teams to scope projects, minimize scope for faster customer feedback, navigate integration and UX tradeoffs, and deliver solutions via cross-platform SDKs. You will optimize existing functionality to enable faster loading and smarter parsing by designing efficient abstractions and improving algorithms. Responsibilities include shipping cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and jobs using Kotlin. Ideal candidates have systems thinking, speed, focus, and collaboration skills, and are comfortable working in a fast-growing, remote team. Preferred tech stack includes Kotlin Multiplatform (Java experience is acceptable but the role focuses on Kotlin Multiplatform); prior experience with Google Cloud Platform is a plus.
