Speechify is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Core Experiences Team. This team builds and maintains the foundational services and cross-platform SDKs that power Speechify’s product experience across platforms. The role suits someone who enjoys working at the intersection of product and infrastructure, thinks strategically, and designs clear, reliable APIs and simple systems that directly enhance the user experience. You will collaborate with Product Teams to scope projects, seek fast customer feedback, navigate UX tradeoffs, and deliver cross-platform SDK solutions. You will optimize functionality to improve loading times and parsing efficiency by designing robust abstractions and refining algorithms. You will ship cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and jobs using Kotlin. Ideal candidates have systems thinking, speed, focus, and collaboration skills to work with designers, marketers, and PMs. Preferred tech stack includes Kotlin Multiplatform (Java experience acceptable) and prior experience with GCP is a plus.
