Speechify is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Core Experiences Team. This role is based in Oslo, Norway, with remote work options. The Core Experiences Team builds and maintains the foundational services and cross-platform SDKs that power Speechify’s product experience across platforms. You will collaborate with Product Teams to scope projects, streamline requirements, and balance UX tradeoffs to deliver scalable solutions via our cross-platform SDK. You will optimize existing functionality for faster loading and smarter parsing by designing efficient abstractions and improving algorithms. You will ship cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and jobs using Kotlin. Ideal candidates think in systems, move quickly, stay focused in a fast-paced, remote environment, and collaborate effectively with designers, marketers, and PMs. Preferred tech: Kotlin Multiplatform (Java experience acceptable), and experience with Google Cloud Platform is a plus.
