Altruist is seeking a Senior QA Engineer to own quality across the user-facing platform and the internal systems behind it, spanning the browser experience, API behavior, and data layer. This hands-on role combines exploratory manual testing with automation to deliver a fast, reliable, and scalable product. You will lead testing efforts, define test strategies, and build durable automation to maintain strong regression coverage as the product evolves. You will work closely with Engineering, Product, and cross-functional partners to develop testing plans for core platform capabilities and AI-powered features. Responsibilities include end-to-end functional testing across UI, API, and database layers; building and maintaining test automation frameworks in Java using Playwright and Selenium for UI coverage, and REST Assured and Postman for API coverage; integrating automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines; designing and executing test plans for AI-powered features; using Jira to manage test cases and defects; leveraging AI coding assistants to accelerate test script development and improve defect triage; and identifying quality gaps to drive continuous improvement.
