Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain Thermeleon's data platform from the ground up at a hardware startup focused on sustainable greenhouse climate control. You will build and manage our data infrastructure and mentor a junior Data Analyst/Scientist to set up reliable, scalable data solutions.

Responsibilities

Set up our data warehouse from data ingestion (Data Factory) to storage and processing, delivering reliable, tested outputs.
Build and monitor infrastructure-as-code with Git and deployment tooling.
Ensure network security and data protection without compromise.
Configure batch processing and IoT data ingestion.
Choose tooling (for example Databricks, Snowflake, Azure Data Factory) that matches our scale and future plans.
Mentor a junior Data Analyst/Scientist and ensure knowledge retention within the team.
Translate business requirements into technical specifications.
Lay the foundation for future analyses, including climate setpoint optimization.
