We are expanding our Zagreb Engineering Centre of Excellence with a new Suite team that will modernize our product portfolio by building a unified frontend and integrating backend capabilities across multiple existing applications. This is an opportunity to join at the ground floor of a new team, shaping technical direction and engineering culture from day one. You will design, build and maintain backend services using Node.js and Python, develop and expose APIs that integrate multiple F24 products, contribute to architectural decisions, and own features from design through production. The role collaborates closely with Frontend, Product, Design and QA and requires a strong focus on scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions, along with modern engineering practices such as code reviews and automated testing. The position is based in Zagreb, Croatia, with hybrid work arrangement (combination of office presence and remote work). Key technologies include Node.js, NestJS, Python (FastAPI), REST APIs, TypeScript, React, and cloud-native architectures, with CI/CD and automated testing. Experience with Express.js, Fastify, distributed systems, and Docker/Kubernetes is a plus. This is a backend-focused role with clear opportunities for progression into Technical Leadership or People Management.
