LightFeather is seeking a cleared Azure Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to support federal IT modernization in Washington, D.C. In this role you will own secure cloud architecture, infrastructure automation, and compliance operations, collaborating with government stakeholders to keep systems secure, resilient, and audit-ready. Location: Hybrid with onsite four days per week in Washington, D.C. 20006 and one day of telework. Salary: $130,000 - $170,000 annually, based on experience. Clearance: Active Secret clearance or higher is required for this federal contract.

Key responsibilities: - Design, deploy, and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure including VMs, VNets, Storage, Azure AD, and PaaS services. - Manage Azure networking components (VNets, NSGs, Load Balancers, VPN/ExpressRoute). - Develop and maintain Terraform templates as the primary IaC tool. - Automate operations with PowerShell, Bash, YAML/JSON, and GitLab pipelines. - Deploy and manage Azure Virtual Desktop environments including host pools and session hosts. - Troubleshoot and optimize AVD performance. - Build, maintain, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines in GitLab. - Implement secure cloud practices (RBAC, Key Vault, IAM, encryption). - Ensure compliance with NIST 800-53, RMF, FedRAMP, and agency-specific controls. - Use Azure Monitor and Log Analytics to monitor health, diagnose issues, and enforce SLAs. - Collaborate with engineering, security, and program staff to support cloud modernization. - Provide onsite collaboration with customer stakeholders (note: role cannot be performed remotely long-term).
