About the role
Cindependent is seeking a Marketing Manager to tell the organization’s stories across the Mariemont Theatre and the Cindependent Film Festival, with a focus on year-round theatre marketing. This part-time role supports programming, membership growth, and community engagement through compelling campaigns. Salary: $22,000–$30,000 per year.
Responsibilities
Qualifications (Required):
- Execute marketing campaigns for theatre programming and the annual film festival
- Manage social media across Cindependent and Mariemont Theatre platforms
- Create email newsletters and website updates
- Design promotional graphics and printed materials
- Coordinate press opportunities and community calendars
- Support advertising campaigns and audience growth initiatives
- Capture photo and video content
- Maintain the theatre website and event listings
- Collaborate with Programming to tell the stories behind films and special events
- Assist with advertising, fundraising, membership, and donor communications as needed
- 2+ years of experience in marketing, communications, public relations, or related field
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with adaptable messaging
- Experience managing social media for an organization or brand
- Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Basic graphic design experience using Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience with email marketing platforms (Mailchimp, Constant Contact, Squarespace Email Campaigns, or similar)
- Familiarity with website content management systems (Squarespace, WordPres
