Line Controller on the first shift at E.A. Sween in Greenwood, SC, responsible for leading the production line to meet goals, maximize efficiency, minimize waste, and ensure GMP and safety standards. You will monitor machines, labels, film, and packaging to produce high-quality products at appropriate speeds, and you will ensure all work orders and recipes are correctly followed. Responsibilities include following GMP and safety protocols, using PPE, performing tasks assigned by the Production Supervisor or Lead, collaborating with diverse team members, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Quality and food safety duties include executing food safety and quality activities to support SQF and regulatory requirements, opening rejects as needed, maintaining line sanitizer stations, and sanitizing hands and work areas. Cost and efficiency duties include contributing to Lean activities and working with production staff, Supervisors, Leads, and Mechanics to produce the lowest-cost, highest-quality product. Standard Work duties include scanning materials to work orders, operating line equipment to meet recipe speeds and standard work, preparing the line for startup, inspecting finished sandwiches, addressing deviations, adjusting equipment speed, reading and verifying work orders, recording materials and downtime, and turning off equipment properly at breaks and end of day.
