Lead Platform Engineer – On-site in Eagan, Minnesota, United States. The Lead Linux Platform Engineer will be a key member of the Global Linux Server Platform team at Ecolab, Inc. This role operates in a fast-paced environment requiring strong time management, self-directed organization, and attention to detail. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who can work with IT colleagues across a multi-cultural, multi-lingual, global environment where English is commonly used as a second language.

What You Will Do: - Technical lead for the Ansible Automation Platform (AAP). Create and maintain AAP playbooks for automated disaster recovery and Linux operational tasks. - Provide operational support for the company's 600 Linux servers, including on-premises and cloud-based environments. - Administer servers to resolve break/fix incidents in the team queue; install, configure, upgrade, patch, and maintain Linux servers for high availability and scalability. - Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize resource utilization. - Collaborate with network engineers, SAP engineers, database administrators (DBAs), and application developers. - Participate in major IT projects related to the Linux platform. - Contribute to security, vulnerability management, and patching initiatives for the Linux Platform.

Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. - 8+ years of IT experience. - 5+ years UNIX (SLES and RHEL; AIX a plus) server experience. - 5+ years Ansible experience; expertise in creating and maintaining Ansible playbooks. - Pro
