This on-site role focuses on developing secure, reliable, and scalable server-side software and API services to retrieve, manage, and distribute product data across Garmin and vendor ecosystems. The PDS team owns the tooling used by Marketing to manage product data and coordinates data distribution for product launches, information, and media management. Technology stack includes Java, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, RabbitMQ, Valkey, Kubernetes, Elasticsearch, Cloudflare, Kibana, AppDynamics, and Uptrends. Responsibilities include developing and enhancing Garmin server-side applications, applying software engineering best practices, translating business needs into technical solutions, participating in peer code reviews, ensuring resiliency and high availability, setting up monitoring for new features, troubleshooting issues, and documenting technical details. Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, 3+ years of relevant experience, strong Java and OOP skills, experience with unit testing (JUnit, Mockito), knowledge of relational databases, Spring/Spring Boot, REST web services, asynchronous distributed systems, build tools and continuous delivery, and Agile methodology.
