Java Lead Developer to take a central role in delivering complex public sector projects. You combine excellent technical know-how with a consultative mindset and bridge technology and client needs. You will guide our clients toward solutions-oriented approaches while providing technical impulses within the team. If suited and interested, there is potential to develop into specialist or line-management roles.

Responsibilities

Qualifications:

Technical leadership, coaching, and support for development teams up to five developers
Java-based software development (frontend and backend)
Advising clients on software architectures, technical approaches, and project methodologies
Close collaboration with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and other stakeholders
Applying and promoting agile practices (Scrum), best-practice approaches, Clean Code, and DevOps culture
Ensuring that agreed quality and security standards are met
Responsible for architecture decisions as well as review and further development of existing system landscapes
Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and client-side specialists
Completed training as an IT specialist at FZ/FA, HF, or university
Several years of experience in Java development (Spring, JPA, REST, etc.)
Good to very good frontend knowledge with frameworks such as Angular or Bootstrap is advantageous
Solid experience in designing and implementing complex applications
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is advantageous
Confident client-facing communication with strong advisory ski
