Overview: A professional IT Business Analyst with 3+ years of experience in transportation and logistics, specializing in LTL processes, data analysis, and IT project delivery within a transportation environment.
Learn and map LTL processes, including Transportation Management Systems (TMS), freight workflows, and related business processes, to support gap analyses, requirements gathering, reporting, and presentations. Analyze freight data, lane performance, and carrier metrics to identify trends, forecast demand, and deliver data-driven insights for network-wide decision making. Ensure accuracy of freight rating, billing data, and operational results with meticulous attention to detail. Manage IT projects in a transportation and logistics setting and lead LTL operations IT initiatives from initiation to completion (TMS enhancements, freight rating systems, terminal management tools). Propose streamlined solutions by challenging documented processes as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Transportation, Information Systems, or related field. 3+ years as a Business Analyst in LTL, freight, or transportation/logistics. Strong understanding of LTL operations including linehaul, pickup and delivery, freight rating, terminal operations, and carrier settlements.
